We have some people coming in our chatroom under another alias in yahoo chat. They are saying vile and horrendous things about a friend who passed away. Is there any way to find out who these people are? Also, one of these people have threatened to come where I live to rape me and murder my husband. We’ve reported him to everyone imaginable. Now, its MY turn to act! Please help..
I’m afraid there is not much you can do. Ignore/block those people and report them as abuse to yahoo. you can see here how to do it: http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/messenger/messenger75/managingim/managingim-30.html
Hi jlrjmr and welcome to Bigblueball,
As bad as words are they are not against the law i’m unfortunate to say, these people like you have the right to their privacy whether evil minded or not.
These people more than likely are seeking a rise out you by saying all these things in chat to you, i suggest you ignore them and disregard anything they say and report them Here! and fill in the content report form with as much detail as you can supply.
If you wish to file another report about this issue you can report it to a group called Cyberangels but to as much response you get is up to them.
Hopefully this person harassing you will get bored and stop when you stop fueling his/her fire for harassment and actually taking in what he/she says, ignorance is bliss and in chat thats a fact.
Ignore them and get on with your chat, let them act like adolescents!
