I need help with aim!

I have windows xp, but my aol instant messenger won’t work on it. The only version of aim that will work on my computer is 4.8! Any advice???

What is the problem you are having? Is it not connecting? Is it not installing? Are you getting an error message? More detail please.

AIM 4.8 is compatible with AIM+ so do you have AIM+? Because really 5.5 and the rest after 4.8 should work unless somene did something to your computer. Maybe you have AIM+ and it wont let you use 5.0 or higher because it is not exactly compatible with them, also try reinstalling AIM
