When using yahoo messenger when I right click on a users name and select view profile, nothing happens… in addition, when I try to go to my mail thru messenger, I get redirected to a live webcam page…. so I’ve been hijacked it would appear… help help help… my hands are in the air and the hijacker’s gun is at my back…
for viewing profiles… go to messenger preferences under General and select open browser in a new window.
Number one, download one or both of the following, Spybot Search & Destroy and/or Ad-Aware. (They both are FREE, don’t get fooled into paying for either one unless you want to donate, upgrade or something like that). Scan your pc once you’ve done that. In addition, scan with an anti-virus program, one that looks for trojans as well. There are also free trojan scanners out there…though their names are slipping my mind at the moment. You need to get rid of these pests not just go around them. I hope this works. Good Luck 🙂
