hello all I just signed up on BBBF(big blue ball forums) my friend suggested it to me but about a month ago I downloaded the new aim and I’ve noticed that the icons will stop moving at times and I noticed it never happened on the old version of aim and to me its reallly annoying even some of my friends have complained about it to and I was wondering if anyone esle has experienced this and if maybe someone can give me a link to download the old version of aim sense the new one doesn’t seem to be as good as the old ones any help would be great

I’ve noticed it as well. But I think it is not a big deal, it just happens when the IM has been up for a while, perhaps indicating which IMs were opened first. You can always right click on them and select play.
Perhaps it is saving server space on AOL by disconecting the path of the icon from your computer to the server.Really, how often do you need to see the same thing over and over again?

This happened since version 5.1. AOL is not “disconnecting” anything, the buddy icon is stored locally, they may have changed the client loop to less than what it used to be.
