well i dont get the whole ICQ thing i couldnt get to any other topics so i had to make a new 1 could sum1 tell the qualities of ICQ? whats good about it and whats bad? thank ya:rolleyes:
Bad thing is that you can’t press enter to send the message!
Good thing is that you can text someone on their CellPhones as well!Thats all, there are more bad things than good.
good things. is it is most reliable way to transfer files i think.. large files… wav files….. any files…. i sent a friend 60 mb of wavs via icq. was fast.. yahoo wouldnt send…..
good. is the first messenger i used.. liked it alot. till they added the ads….
good. sms..bad. the ads…. ? no voice?
its kinda clunky to me….. but.. its an alternative when yahoo or msn or aim takes a dive…. most of my fiends have it as a back up.
well since i dont know how to do any of that anyways and not many ppl hav it i dont think ill get it ill take Faizans advice lol thnkx! unless u could teach me how to sign up and use all that file transfer junk! will u pleeez?
you can remove the ads by using icq plus which also allows the use of themes to match your desktop 🙂

and icq pretty much ( if i recall correctly) was the first real messenger for most……
i have had it since 1997 or so……its more relaible for offlines i think… and has tons of cool things. the webpage… the message center…….

*wipes a tear* the memories…..:PYeah. ICQ has been around for years, before AOL and Yahoo started offering instant messaging services. ICQ was invented by some pre-teen or teen-aged boy in Iraseli before AOL bought out making the boy (now in his early 20’s) filthy rich.
I think ICQ has at least than 400-million users now.
