If someone is harassing you in IM what can you do?

I have a friend who has been harassed for 2 weeks by someone with an invisible profile?

What can she do, besides make her IM private? Is there anyway on tracking this person down?

Or is that the beauty of IM?

What IM network is this friend on (AIM, MSN, Yahoo, etc.)? I suggest she start by emailing the network in question (i.e. abuse@yahoo.com), providing the username of the person harrassing them, and an explanation of how they are being harrassed. The more specific detail he/she can provide, the better.
