Memberdoes anyone know if there is a program or website with IM forwarding for virgin mobile? I know in another post this guy was saying that he got aim on virgin mobile but I dont think its possible….and hes not replying anyways.:confused:

ParticipantIt used to work but not anymore. I do not think there are any website with IM forwarding except the official AIM website.

Memberyou cant use the aim forwarding feature from aim.com with virgin mobile…it used to work months and months ago but not anymore…there is a aim program that u can use that is something along the lines of an away message that will forward any IMs toyour cell….or use this…inur away message just put “+1 phone number” and tell people to IM that as a screen name

Membershucks it has worked for my friend kayla in the passed to and I tried to get it forwarded to my phone as well. but the access code was never sent to me ……. poo…. Message my screen name (same as this name) on aim if n e of u happen to find out and I havent heard n e thing yet.

Memberi have tried the imforwards site recently w/ virgin mobile and I think that they have made some changes… it seems to work two way and it seems that they have added capacity. if anyone wants help with it let me know?

Memberit might be possible. if someone wanted to take the time to write some sort of crossover software that would connect to aim, and then when someone IMd you it would simply email you (with virigin mobile yournumber@virginmobileusa.com or something like that I think) then when you replied it would send it back to the program(probably via a proprietary pop3 integrated server or such)and then the program would IM that person. granted your txt message rates will still apply, but it would work. all you would need would be a pc running all the time on a broadband connection. anyone interested in maybe getting a project together. I’ve been reading these forums for awhile. I have one of the audiovox 8610’s from virgin mobile. so been checking out some things. everyone always seems to whine about wireless web or aim forwarding. what do you say we actually try and do something about it?

Memberwell im not that smart with computers to make a program like that BUT, virgin mobile is coming out with virgin XL wich is gonna have WAP I think..so aim mite work 😀

MemberWell, I don’t know about IM but you *can* just send text messages to Virgin Mobile users using the email addres [their number]@vmobl.com
