MemberI recently downloaded 2.3.1 version (released in July) of IM+ for BlackBerry and very satisfied with new functinality. Added: Add/Remove users, background mode, work with several accounts. Actually I tried all of available IM clients for BB and IM+ is definitely the best. What I would like to have is notification when somebody is on mobile device.
IM+ is also available for Java, Windows Mobile and Symbian.August 13, 2005 at 2:31 pm #125457Jeff Hester
KeymasterThank you winner for sharing this with us.

MemberHi, I configured IM+ in Jabber with Google Talk and it works. Here are working settings:
id: user@gmail.com
host: talk.google.com
port: 5223 (ssl)
Morever, I heard that they plan to add Google Talk service as separate service for other mobile platforms. Good work!November 2, 2005 at 9:49 am #125461Kristall

ParticipantYes, it’s a good company. However just to make you sure, the IM+ Bluetooth is ONLY for other people using that. No AIM, ICQ, MSN, or Yahoo. So if the other people are using IM+ Bluetooth and you want to be talking to them then yes, it’s what you want. But if you want AIM, ICQ, MSN or Yahoo, then this isn’t the one for you.

MemberThank you for the advice! I like Bluetooth idea because there isn’t any cost per messages and $5 for installation it is not a big money. I guess it would be better to get a whole suite of such things – I even found IM+QQ on those website. And my Bluetooth won’t be alone!

ParticipantYou’re welcome. Yeah, I also saw IM+ QQ. Just shows they feel we should be able to talk to ANYONE anywhere. 🙂

MemberWho knows. I’ve heared, mobile saved life of the whole company once. They were on the yacht and got into hard storm. The radio set was sloppy and out of the order and the situation became very serious. Fortunately a women called to her friend who set on the pub on the other side of country from mobile and he could call the guard. Sometime reliable connection is a usefull thing.
