The new versions have a drop down listing of every person or bot who sends an IM to me. Can this list be eliminated or entries deleted?
*omit*
He’s talking about that stupid “Contacts Search Bar” that has an arrow in the right side that shows a dropdown of recently IM’ed contacts when clicked. Personally I have that toolbar closed for good (Messenger-> Show/Hide -> Contacts search bar) and there you go! no more MRU list.
Stupid ?
Haha, different strokes for different folks, I guess. I LOVE it!
But, I must admit I never use the dropdown list – I just use the white box to key part of someone’s ID so I can then access that person easily.
(I’ve around 400 names on my list, arranged in various groupings, so actually finding a particular person would be quite hard, without this nifty little searcher, that I use many times every day!).
But as for deleting those names, RWW, I’ve no idea – sorry. 🙁
It’s just a combo box reading from the listbox / treeview below (buddylist)
It will just load them on every startup so pointless deleting them.
