Hi. I’d like to IM people but still keep my away message on. I know this is possible because my friend with a mac, and a friend using Trillian both do it. Normally, when I try to IM someone when my away message is on, it takes it off. How do I fix this? I am running the latest version of AIM.
You can also use otsego or Aimutation. You can use DeadAim to, but you have to pay for it.
Both work with All versions of AIM. The only thing about Aimutation is that after you install Aimutation 1.2, which works with any AIM version up to 5.5.3415, you must manually place 3 files in your AIM program files folder, which is explained on the site. It will be like this until an installer is made or until Aimutation 2.0 comes out.
what I meant was the IM while away feature only works with 5.2 even when using otsego and aimutation. or is that what your saying?
edit: also do either aimutation or otsego have logging of direct connections?
Otsego has talking while away with the newest AIM, But I Belive AIMutation you have to downgrade to 5.2 before it works..
Correct me if I’m Wrong.And AIMutation Logs direct connections, and Otsego is planning it in future versions. But what otsego has better for logging is away message and profile logging.
