Hi, I was wondering if there is a way to find if someone from your list has opened your im window, before any chatting begins.
Try Gilly Messenger. When somebody opens a chat window with you, a chat window on YOUR screen will automatically pop up, before they’ve even typed anything. It also tells you when they have closed the window, too.

Instead of downloading a whole different IM client for MSN, you can just download a plugin which has the feature you asked for and more[/b]! You could have possibly have heard of this plugin, the StuffPlug-NG which i, myself, find very handy.
Please note that if you decide to download this plugin, you will need to get a validation key from the StuffPlug website or you will not be able to sucessfully install the plugin.
Also note that message Plus [http://www.msgplus.net] needs to be installed first, and Stuff-Plug installed as a plug in to that.
