MemberI am having a lot of problems with Yahoo messenger lol. No wonder I got rid of it in the first place…ugh. Anyway, when I first downloaded Yahoo a few weeks ago the ‘Doodle Imvironment’ used to work okay. Now everytime I load it, it freezes up and I have to restart Yahoo again. I have tried uninstalling the messenger and reinstalling it but it still freezes on me. Does anybody know what the problem could be? It works for my friend but it just freezes up for me. I have version 6. I prefer 6 to the newer versions. My friend tried loading the ‘Peanuts Imvironment’ and it said ‘runtime error’ or something and it wouldn’t work properly. It was only working alright about a week ago. Any help would be appreciated! 🙂 The Audibles work okay. It’s just the Imvironments that play up.

MemberTry upgrading your flash player http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer
Is there a script error when it freezes up?

MemberFor some of them, yes, there is a script error that comes up. I will try upgrading my flash player right now. Thank you very much for your help. It was starting to really frustrate me because I couldn’t change the Imvironment without it freezing. Hopefully this solves the problem, thanks again. 🙂
Edit: Okay, I updated my Macromedia Flash and tried the ‘Doodle Imvironment’ again with my friend and it still froze up. I went back onto Yahoo then he uploaded the Peanuts Imvironment and it works okay. All the others work okay except for Doodle Imvironment. Does anyone know why it does this? I have tried uninstalling Yahoo again and reinstalling it…but no success.

Hello vegasblue555,
Thank you for writing to Yahoo! Messenger.
Please try downloading the new version of messenger 7.5
To fix this problem, you’ll need to uninstall Yahoo! Messenger, and
then
reinstall it. This will not cause you to lose your Friend List because
that information is stored on our servers, not your machine. Please follow the directions below:
1. Make sure to exit Yahoo! Messenger completely. If you don’t, the
uninstall will fail.2. Click the “Start” button.
3. Select “Settings” and then “Control Panel.”
4. Double-click “Add/Remove Programs.”
5. Select “Yahoo! Messenger” and click the “Remove” button.
6. Click the “Next” button and then the “Finished” button.
The next step is to install:
1. Go to the Messenger home page:
2. Close all running programs except for your Internet browser.
3. Select the “Windows” link under the “Quick Download” heading on the
left side of the Messenger homepage to begin the download process.NOTE: Download time can take anywhere from 1 to 6 minutes.
Thank you again for contacting Yahoo! Customer Care.
