MemberI can understand that you don’t want people to know that you’re invisible….but come on….it’s not the end of the world. Some people see me go off of invisible…and it doesn’t bother me….sometimes I don’t want to be bothered by people and they have to realize it’s not a personal affront. It’s not a new problem…it’s happened before….they took care of it…..but then it’s back….so just wait a little bit…..and I imagine it will all be back to normal. As far as contacting Yahoo! it’s hit and miss….sorry I don’t have better news for you.

MemberIntoblue, you have to go into the mssgr help (i usually do it thru the pager itself) and choose the topic you are interested into. Once u have found it at the bottom of the page there is a “is this enough info'” thingy with yes and no; if you click NO u get into a contact form page and from there u can contact Yahoo help with the Q’s u need. Of course if u go into the status help page there isnt such an optopn (i wonder why :s) but u can always go into any page and it will give you the option to choose which topic u want answers for.
Oreo, what you say makes sense…up to a certain point. Sometimes i dont want ppl in my family to see me online, bacause family doesnt understand the word “privacy”;) (especially italian families, lol) And the fact tha doesnt bother you…we are not all the same and ppl reaction can be different from urs 🙂

MemberLella…I understand ALL to well about Italian families and Italian friends…..TRUST ME! 😀 😉 I know everyone’s different and there have been people who get insulted about not knowing I’m online, but that’s something they need to deal with I know where things stand on my end.(…and I have to explain OVER AND OVER…..it’s not against you. No I don’t hate you.)
As far as using the help forms…I’ve used them both from mail and from messenger…and when I have gotten a response it’s usually…..the FORM response if there’s a response at all. I know Yahoo! get a lot of questions daily….but they should at least have a proper response to things like this….or if nothing else….a page to go to where it says: Messenger is currently experiencing XXXXXX problems….please be patient…we’re working on it! Thanks for your cooperation. Something like that is really all they need so that people know they aren’t going crazy when they see these names, and I’d venture to guess they’d receive fewer questions.September 22, 2003 at 6:13 pm #90420hellsfury_25m
MemberI’ve noticed this happening since I first started using Yahoo Messenger. What I see on my end, if someone logs on as invisible, is they go online for a brief second and then immediately go offline. I have been told that it does the same for the people on my buddy list when I go invisible.
I don’t see Yahoo changing this though, or at least not in the near future anyway.
This is why I do not use invisible mode. What I do is make a new ID with just the people I want to talk to on my buddy list. That way all I have to do is switch names and not have to worry if someone I don’t want to talk to see’s me go invisible. This is just a suggestion however, I just thought I’d put in my “two cents” worth into this subject.

MemberToday, while invisible, somebody im’d me.
Cam is also getting viewed by others when i specifically selected I must give permission!
What is up with the security here? I emailed yahoo about it.
I also upgraded. Not sure what version I had before? this is confusing!
Think I will stop using it. It is unreliable!

MemberI noticed this quite some time ago, but wasnt really bothered by it. However, one thing i also picked up on was :mad:that my friend’s ID would show up as offline simultaneosly with one or more unfamiliar IDs, a good memory and quick profile checking showed me that i weas seeing all their alternate names sign off (or on as it were) at the same time. quite interesting to know which “square” friends have racy alternate IDs.

MemberJust wanted to say thank you to everyone for all their ideas and stuff. I think yahoo have sort of fixed this one..as I don’t see anyone “logging off” under invisible now.;)
