Couple questions…
Is OSI server networked with all/any other OSI servers? Whenever onlinestatus.org is down, my OSI is also down… very annoying! There are also several hundred jabber accounts created within no time at all! I have not been able to keep OSI running for more than 30 minutes at a time. the process is still running, but the presence is not shown! So I must restart the server… I have also had a couple instances where the processes were out of control! Normally, on my linux server, OSI runs about 11 processes… I have had it jump up to as many as 40-60 almost like a DOS attack!
Is there a way in the configuration file to only allow my domain to use OSI? So it is completely independent?
Thanks in advance,
-Paul
Yes, they are networked via onlinestatus.org. Your OSI should be able to run even if should be onlinestatus.org down, but you will loose the failover solution. Your OSI will automatically failover to another OSI host if your host cannot handle all incoming requests.
There are currently some performance problems that I am working on. It is currently not possible to have your host completely independent. If you don’t want your hosts to failover to the OSI network just add this line in your status.conf.
