I am not sure I put this in the right area but I felt it is a computer problem and not so much an IM one. I have a keylogger on my computer one I placed on my computer personally. Why? Well I have two children who use the computer frequently and I like to keep an eye on what they are doing.
My question is this, Since I placed this on my computer myself does it make it easier for someone to hack my computer and jepordise the security of my computer ?
Hmmm…that all depends. Where did you get this keylogger? Was it purchased from a reputable source? Did you get it from just some site? Some keyloggers are produced specifically for keeping an eye on kids…do you have any more information on the exact keylogger? If you got it from some old site (which I doubt you did) there “could” be something on it…but I doubt you have to worry.
