MemberBesides asking them, I don’t think there’s any way to do this

MemberThis question has been asked many a time in the past. You can find a few of the previous topics here, here, and here. To summarize them all, I’ll say this: there is no way to see whos buddy lists you’re on, but, if you get people to submit their buddy lists to buddyzoo.com you can see if they have you on their list.
In the future, please use BBB’s search feature to make sure that no one has started topics in the past that could answer your questions.

Memberi think my method works if u im somebody and your message sends Quickly than your on there buddlist but if it takes a few seconds then your probly not on there buddy list because the reason u have to wait a second is because they have to except your instant message!

Participantthats good thinking actually..but it doesnt work if you want to know who has you on their list without wanting to even speak to them.

MemberWell another way would be that you could instant message the person while they have an away message up, and if their away message doesn’t automatically show up in the chat window, then chances are that you aren’t on their list…

MemberMessaging someone and expecting a quick response if you’re on their buddy list is not reliable at all. However, messaging someone with their away message is up does work, assuming that they haven’t disabled the popup window that asks if you want to accept the message.
(btw… this question is in the FAQ)

Memberheres a way to find out if you are on their list….IM them and be like “hey do you like my new icon?” and if they say you dont have one or they cant see it then your not on their list because you can only see peoples icons if you are on their buddy list:D

the person probably just blocked you, and therefore would never appear online…OR a friend (who knows your password, or whose computer you’ve signed onto AIM with previously) could have accessed your bl and deleted the name
