You know how there is a legend thing at the bottom of forum pages showing what a blue folder means or what a yellow folder means or what a lock means? I think this legend should also include other things, like what purple folders mean and what it means when a folder has a red thumb tack in it. Maybe all of this is explained in a topic, but i think it would still be nice to have a complete legend, showing what every what every picture next to a topic could possibly mean.
Purple folder? Which purple folder are you talking about?
A blue folder means there are no new replies since your last visit. A yellow folder means that there are new replies since your last visit or that it is an important topic. If an important topic has new replies since your last visit, it will be yellow.
The red pin means a topic is important (and thus will always stay at the top of the list), the flames mean a topic is a hot topic (read often) and the lock means the topic is closed for (further) replies or comments.
An example of a purple folder can be found in the AIM forum. And thanks hyperbyte for the definitions, but i didn’t post this in order to find out what each one meant. I posted this as a suggestion to include all of these kinds of topics in the place at the bottom of the forum page where it says what a blue and yellow folders mean.
