Hello all. Im new here, but I really need help.
I just got a Logitech quikcam pro 4000 and it wont work in msn 6.0.
When I use the utility which came with the camera, it works fine, and a light flashes on the webcam to show me that it is on. In msn the light doesnt turn on and my webcam display is just blue and nothing but blue.
anybody??
I have the Quickcam 3000 and that works everywhere out of the box without any software installed. Logitech is pretty tight about making stuff work.
Update drivers/software?
What version of Windows are you using? With XP you shouldn’t install the drivers for the cam, or at least that’s what I read on the Logitech website.
I have both a QuickCam Pro 3000 and a QuickCam Pro 4000 and they work fine on MSN Messenger 6 for me.
Be sure to check the Device Manager in Start > Settings > Control Panel > System (that’s Win2k, I’m not sure about XP as I’m not at home right now, but it shouldn’t be very different) to see if your cam is recognized by the computer.
Then in Messenger, go to Tools > Audio/Video Tuning Wizard and run that. Make sure you select the correct cam there.
