Jeff Hester
April 16, 2002
FaceTime Communications has announced an agreement that will integrate their IM Auditor application with IBM Lotus Softwares Sametime instant messaging and collaboration application. Sametime positioned as a enterprise class instant messenger, in use at 50 Fortune 100 companies and with 5 million corporate users worldwide. IM Auditor will allow corporations using Sametime to capture and store IM communications.
Some users express privacy concerns, since companies can use this software to monitor your IM messages for so-called “restricted” words or phrases, much like they can (and often do) with comany email.
Concerned? Well, then dont say anything that youd be embarrased about if your mother read it (or in this case, your boss).
