Yahoo Messenger seems to randomly disconnect me, and I return to the computer to see my login screen up. I know its not an internet connectivity issue (AIM is fine and the router connection is fine). I know its not a virus as I’ve done all the scans I can. Any info is much appreciated! Thanks!

A little more information may help us help you, does Yahoo givs you any kind of error message, what version of Yahoo Messenger you’re running, Internet connection set up ??? Also, have you changed any thing prior to you having this trouble?

Yeah there is an error message, I dont remember which, yet. I’m using version 5.6.0.1358 on a static IP through my router on a DSL connection. Need anything else? Lemme know.
Hello, yes I get logged off of messenger every night at 2:07 am my time and the same with two of my friends. Now that is weird.
I just see the “Invalid Login” Screen.
“Please select ‘Try Again’ and make sure your ID ans PASSWORD are entered correctly. If you have forgotten your ID or PASSWORD, select ‘Login Problems’.
So yeah, I don’t think during mid-session, I’m improperly putting in my password…..
Have you tried logging into another Yahoo id to see if the id with the problem is online when you get disconected ? Maybe someone has managed to steal your password. Go change your password and secret question and try to see if that corrects the porblem. Also do a thorough scan of your computer for viruses ansd spyware.

I check daily for viruses, but I can log on to my account just fine, but it randomly logs me off. The password has NOT been changed. Other accounts seem to be doing the same thing.

*bump*Thats a new boot code thats out just log in via http://www.yahoochat.com and it makes the codes worthless
