Rather, the software giant is seeking licensing fees from the makers of clients that use the Microsoft MSN IM network and compete with Microsoft’s own MSN Messenger client. This is all speculation.
Naturally Micro$haft is “seeking licensing fees”, the scumbags cant bleed us after we purchased their product can they? so now they seek $$$ from another source. Bill needs a new house.:o
I really cant take these claims seriously, Microstuff just realeased 7 security threats this last 7 days…. damn, the OS has more holes in it than swiss cheese… you think Cerulian wont find a hole? any script kiddy can find one… this direction of this thread is just a joke. Trillian is safe regardless of Bill wanting a new residence.
Keep patching Bill, your ship is sinking.September 16, 2003 at 11:46 pm #91473Secret Agent Wo
MemberWEEEELLL,
Between this quote from the article above:
Trillian Pro 2, which entered beta testing on August 1, supports the latest MSN IM protocol, Werndorfer adds. He does not say whether older Trillian clients will be locked out from the MSN IM network soon, or whether Trillian Pro 2 will work with MSN IM regardless of a licensing deal.
And the fact that the all support, all forums, and all announcements have been SHUT DOWN at http://www.trillian.cc …
My impending purchase for 2.0 Pro is on hold until further notice. Looks like I am going to go back to the original IMs. It’s a shame, I really liked Trillian. But if there is one thing I HATE in any software/site provider, is smoke and mirrors and avoiding the questions. The shut down on the forums was too coincidental for my taste.
So, we are being told here, don’t believe the articles at c|net and on yahoo, don’t believe what microsoft says, believe US, everything is hunky-dory fine, but no…er, we have no confirmation of that and can’t say for sure and there is no proof and don’t bother to find out at CeruleanStudios.com because it’s completely devoid of any mention of the subject.
