Well, I’ve done somewhat of a search in the forums for the answer to this question, however, I have no idea what this particular option is called, so I’m having a very hard time searching for it.
My friends and I call the option “the Mini-Profile”. We rarely view profiles, however we will look at the mini profile just to make sure we are not talking to a 12 year old. By this I mean, while you are in a room you place your cursor over the person’s nic name, and just let it sit there (no clicking the mouse), and a small box will pop up showing some of the data in their profile like, name, age, location, etc. However I’ve had someone ask me why some people can see these mini-profiles and some people can’t. I have checked the obvious things such as verions of messenger, windows, etc. preferences, third party applications, etc. Everyone that seems to be having a problem has the same equipment, software and programs. I’ve even suggested that that person click on someone elses name in the list, just to move their mouse over there, and then see if it works, but it still does not.
Does anyone else know why these mini-profiles work for some and not for others??? Or what the heck is this option called??? Or where can I find more information on it?
Any information would be helpful. Thank you.
well Netti some ppl have profiles and some dont have profiles and the ppl who dont have profiles it doesnt show their profiles in mini – profile and the ppl who had their profiles on it shows only those profiles I think thats the reason sometimes it doesnt show up
I believe that just works for ppl that have xp….because when I had 98 se it didnt work….and now it does:p
