Minor System Tray Issue

So, have been running an experiment with my current install of Windows XP, read this as to lazy to go thru the backup/reinstall process lol. I have had this current install of XP for about 2.5 years, give or take. Everything is running fine at this point, with the exception of one small bug. When right clicking on an icon in the system tray, the system tray menu (the one with task manager etc. on it) will appear along with the right click menu for the program. I have made sure my cursor is on the actual icon and all. This is nothing really major, more a minor annoyance, just wondering if anyone else has come across this and any possible fixes for it.
