I’m thinking abuot switching to this IM program. I just want to know if anyone else has tried it. Does it crash alot? I would just like to know what you guys think of it.
I’ve always been a GAIM person, myself. But I have heard that Miranda is good too.
Out of curiousity, I downloaded Miranda and gave it a shot. Miranda uses less resources than GAIM, but the standalone Miranda installation is very bare. You’ll probably end up having to download 2-3 plugins before you’d be content. It’s a fine program though, but I’ll wait until Miranda hits 1.0 before I switch from GAIM.
Im with AnimeUSA. I have used both, and after finding Gaim, I couldnt go back to Miranda.
I’ve always been an AIM person (yeah I know that that’s sad) and then I had a friend suggest Trillian and another suggest GAIM. I found that I couldn’t stand Trillian and GAIM has improved quite a bit since I’ve started using it (It’s now my primary IM program). I tried Miranda out a little while ago and GAIM to me just seems a lot more functional and useful then any other IM program out there.
