I was installing DeadAim 4.5 and it stopped installing because I wasnt the computer administrator and now it wont let me sign on aim:( its says like aim cant run without DEADAIM.OCM or something like that then its like Cprogram filesaimdeadaim.ocm
how do I fix this?
Change your administration settings. I assume you have Windows XP so you probably have to go on the administrator log on name which is your parents, if you are on there you can just install Dead AIM at that time and you dont have to worry about it, but if you want be a system administrator, go to the control panel and if you have it set to be viewed in classic mode go to “Users” and then click your screen name. When you are at that page of settings, click “Change account type” then click the administrator option button then click “Change Account Type.” Once that is done you can log back onto your WIndows XP user name and you shouldn’t be limited to which programs you can install now.
Hopefully that works, if you have Windows 2003 Server it should be the same, and for Windows 2000 some steps are different but its basically the same process.
what if I dont want deadaim at all but this still shows up that im missing the file?
Then uninstall AIM and reinstall it?
same thing happened to me once, just reinstall like david said
