hi
i need some help.
i am using msn messenger 7.5 and windows xp sp2, but i cannot use the handwriting feature. it prompts me to update my software. i do a scan for windows update and all are up to date.
pls advise what software i need to install or it should work since i have both the above-mentioned updated.
thanks.
Hi sblue and welcome to bigblueball.
All you need to install to make handwriting work is Windows Journal Viewer.
i’ve a friend with the same problem. i’ve never instaled the journal and my handwriting works properly, so it should come included in some other package. framenetwork probably… let me know if u solve your problem…

hi all
thanks for the reply.
same as princeG, my friend told me to install the journal viewer and it works.
i think winxp came with some journal viewer, but my itchy hand likes to delete programs that i seldom used…haha.
well, now it works and i am happy.
once again, thanks all.

For future reference:
You can either install the Windows Journal Viewer, or the Ink Redistributables (don’t have time to verify – have an ISU to do).
XP didn’t come with Journal Viewer, Journal Viewer was made when XP Tablet Edition was released, about 2 years after XP.
