Curious would blame third parties why it was instable in the first place.
Third Party Add-in Applications
MSN has investigated reports that some third party add-in applications are causing the MSN Messenger application to suffer degraded performance and varying degrees of unstable operation. In order to experience the best performance with MSN Messenger, you should uninstall third party MSN Messenger add-in applications you have installed which may be causing stability issues and report these issues to the third party application vendors.
Poor xp users suffer the most,i as 98se user took several tries to get to work, the rtcdll.dll fix has worked once, sounded great when it did (note once it worked). To blame third party apps for causing stability problems is amusing at best, but not real funny.I used not third party after release and still had problems as many of my firends did. Some of thos who still can`t use.
