MSN Messenger 7.5 Final Released!

Microsoft has released an update to their popular Instant Messaging client MSN Messenger. With the release of MSN Messenger 7.5, Microsoft has added a couple new features:

Voice Clips
Allowing you to use your microphone to record and send a voice clip of up to 15 seconds to your contact. A voice clip can be saved in .WAV format by clicking on “Save As” after sending a Voice Clip. Feature sound familiar maybe? :p

Dynamic Backgrounds
Tired of those background images that sit around and do nothing? Well, Microsoft have added Dynamic Backgrounds which – just like Dynamic Display Pictures – move around and some even allow you to interact with them.

General User Interface enhancements
A lot has changed since 7.0 and well, you’ll just have to see for yourself 🙂

New features for web-developers
The ability to start a conversation with a contact, add a contact to your contact list, send an invitation to start a voice conversation, send an invitation to start a video conversation all from a site using the following link syntaxes:

Start a conversation with a contact: msnim:chat?contact=@hotmail.com
Add a contact to your contact list: msnim:add?contact=@hotmail.com
Send an invitation to start a voice conversation: msnim:voice?contact=@hotmail.com
Send an invitation to start a video conversation: msnim:video?contact=@hotmail.com
