MemberHave a new computer so now my MSN is updated. Trouble is when I click on the icon to sign in….it takes me straight in without having to enter my password. Not good, as I have 3 kids in the house also using MSN and we all need our privacy. have checked all settings, as has my computer expert. what to do to get my privacy back?

Keymasterfirst off welcome to BBB I did post a solution before but here you go again since im assuming you are on XP;
click START >> then RUN TYPE IN
Control Userpasswords2
in RUN box, then click Advanced, Manage Passwords
and delete as required if you have a messenger look for the hotmail or MSN one and remove it that will prevent the log in but if you type in the MSN messenger and click save password then it will return again.Also in the same run box you could type in
msconfig
which will bring up a popup box go to the START up tab and find the msmsgs and uncheck it . this will stop auto signin and youll have to start it manually from the program list . youll get a message to reboot but you dont have to do it straight away

MemberKaye,
Also, make sure that when you go to sign-in, you do not enable the “Sign me in automatically”, that will save your password and sign you in everytime once an internet connection is detected. This can also be disabled in the option menu as well.

MemberI have the same problem. I tried all your possibilities but it still shows. I want to remove this since I have 2 older brothers and they would cause trouble on my MSN if ever they see that they can just sign on by clickig on my e-mail!

Memberseb_thib_55,
You are saying that ALLEYCAT‘s first suggestion did not work for you? This was in the FAQ’s page by DJHyperbyte:
Quote:quote:Q: A few people have signed into MSN Messenger from my computer. How do I remove their email addresses from the sign-in list?
A: Go to ‘Control Panel’ and choose for ‘Users’. Click on your Windows XP username and then go to ‘Manage my network passwords’. Here you can simply delete the MSN login history.This is a somewhat simplified step of ALLEYCAT‘s suggestion. So you mean, you did all that, and deleted your username in the list, yet you are still able to “sign in automatically”? Perhaps retry the process and tell us exactly what happens.
