My computer crashed this morning, I have AOL instant messenger, MSN, Yahoo, and ICQ messengers and I can’t connect any of them. My MSN messnger says I am behind a firewall and I have tried to set proxies with the firewall but that doesn’t work. Yahoo messenger will connect but I can’t get into chat, and people send me messages and I see their replies I respond, but they don’t get or see mine. I understand that part could just be a yahoo program. I can’t even get into hotmail to check my email, and my Microsoft Outlook program isn’t working. Please Help!!!!
What Operating System are you using?
What were you doing when the computer crashed this morning?
Are you on dial-up or high-speed internet?
Can you view most other websites ok?
We are using Windows Xp, I was able to view just about everything but the hotmail website. I couldn’t get any of the messengers to connect at all…except yahoo messenger, but was unable to communicate with my friends in an instant message, I was getting their responses, but they couldn’t see mine.
We have high speed internet.
I am also having problems logging into yahoo.
What kind of message are you getting when you try to connect to yaoo messenger?
