KeymasterWhen I first saw that dell was coming out with a Dimension 8400 I decided that that was the computer I wanted to get to replace my aging sony vaio (and play doom 3 and half life 2). This dimension 8400 is insanely fast, I love it. I just had to wait about a month for it to be delivered due to parts shortages.
Its got an Intel Pentium 4 560 (3.6GHz)
1GB 533 MHz DDR2 SDRAM
2 160GB 7,200 RPM SATA hard drives
12X DVD+RW dual layer drive
8 USB ports
Firewire port
Creative Labs Sound Blaster Audigy 2 sound card
Dell 5650 5.1 speakers
256MB ATI Radeon X800XT Ultra graphics card.
Windows XP Pro.
Its the same thing as http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,1759,1624220,00.asp save for the monitor, im using my previous 22 inch crt.
Also Im going to sell my old vaio to a friend of mine, which is the easiest way to clear the hard drive? I have the system restore discs.
Thanks

Indeed, but the system restore disks should do the trick just as well and leave a usable OS for your purchaser.

Actually no. The reason why I got a Dell is because my uncle is pretty high up in the Dell corporation and he said he could get me a good deal on it. He came through and I got it for $1799.00 since I didnt need a monitor either.:D
