You know how on AIM, your buddy icon has to fit within a certain amount of bytes? Well I have a picture that I would like to make into an icon. But the size of the picture is too large to fit. Is there any software to help me resize it or something like that?
Man, come on, have you ever heard of a simple program on every windows comp called paint, lol. All ya gotta do is draw a box around the picture, then go to attributes, then choose 50×50. And now you have your buddy icon!!!
whoops, forget that last post, i though you ment re-size the piocture, not the bytes. Can’t help you with that.
do you have microsoft photo editor? you can resize the picture to a certain point, obviously it has to be the 50×50 or whatever size for AIM icons…. beyond that, save it as a .gif image instead of a .bmp or .jpg, since gif images are generally smaller size for pictures. other than that, not much else can be done to reduce the file size
download irfanview, its a free editing program for pictures, etc. I have used it to resize pics into icons for my aim. Its really easy to use.
All I have on my current computer is PictureGear Studio. Anybody now how resize a photo on that? Or maybe what the link is to that site with ‘irfanview’?
