Hey i was wondering when u update AIM, dose it like give u a hole nother AIM thingy or dose it just update the AIM u allready have?:confused:

AIM Thingy?
Update AIM brings your version (Help –> About AOL(R) Instant Messenger (TM)) to the newest version. It doesn’t work for me, I just download it from http://www.aim.com .
By default, when you update AIM, it replaces your current version. You might be able to install it in a different directory and switch between the two versions, but I haven’t tested that.

i think you can, because somehow i managed to install a different version of aim into a different folder (on the same drive, but different folder) by accident. i couldnt figure out why aim kept changing, because apparently i had the desktop icon pointing to one version, and the quicklaunch icon pointing to the other… yeah i still dont know how i missed it for so long…

If by AIM Thingy you mean AIM Program….
You could get DeadAIM4, DeadAIM3.2.8, Netscape7, or Trilian and you can use AIM Express too. There are tons more as well.
