atpgod… i noticed lookin at the pic you displayed… some of the smileys arent aligned correctly with their actual name… like you have the frowning and winking faces reversed… i dont know if thats just a graphical mistake or if its reflected in the code as well?? might wanna check that
Haha, yes, there are several ones that aren’t quite “lined” up… the images you see in the app, are NOT pulled from AIM/AOL physically… I have them stored in my app, and some are not sorted right. But if you just pick the one you want, either by the description/caption… or in the position that you’re used to in AIM… it’ll find the right code for you.
P.S. I still can’t get the snowman and the superhero guy to work… anyone know those codes?
As I have said in the past check out my site for the codes. It is not based on BigBlueBalls smiler codes. Sorry atpgod I don’t have time to go through the codes posted on this site and mine and make comparisons. The thing with the AOL font codes those are AOL server based codes and AOL can change them at anytime they wish.
I copied and pasted the codes to a IM and it isnt animated its just the regular yellow smiley that doesnt move.
Ahhhh….I figured it out….my grandmother is on Netscape Instant Messenger instead of the AOL one although it still has the same stuff…Ill just have to wait to get home so I can try it on there since I actually have the regular AIM
On these new animated smileys I cant find them on the http://www.smileyspot.com page and I looked at everyone, also for some reason when I type the code, I just get the code on the IM, not the smiley. Can anyone help on where to find them or why Im getting the code?

Moreover… you have to make sure and copy the ENTIRE thing… not just part of it… e.g. 🙂
hahaha, I was just trying to make sure that it would display correctly… I didn’t want page trying to write the smiley characters with that ‘font’. 🙂 , but guess not.
When it says the 🙂 Is that an I or a 1 or a L or what, they all sort of look the same and none of them seem to work
I tried all of them and none of them seem to work, it only works when I copy and paste but I cant with all of them because it only has the regular smile face and you have to do the rest yourself…
umm… well I think it’s an “I” but… who cares… just hightlight it… copy and paste… why nother trying to type it out? I suggest trying the Smiler Application; it’s a thing of beauty!
I tried typing it out but it comes out as code. MAy I ask where the Smiler Application is and what it does?
