MemberI just got my 60 gig video iPOD today!
There is so many things that I don’t even know about it. I read the directions (the little directions that actually come with it)
Somethings I have questions about.
Is there an easier way of updating the photos/naming the albums? Using iTunes for the photos is not very easy. Plus you can’t rename anything. My friend said a program popped up on his computer “FOTO MAT” but I have no such thing on my computer when I installed it.
Also, how do you play videos? I have small homemade videos I wanted to put on it. Where do I upload it. I went to the video option on iTunes and it doesnt show anything. It says .mov can only play. Is there any converters out there that will convert my movies so I can put them on the my iPOD?
thanks a bunch

ParticipantNot to sure about the pictures, but don’t you just go to preferences>photo tab and select the folders? For the video, quicktime converts video into iPod format, or this free app should work.

MemberDoes anyone know if…
I hooked up someone else POD to my computer could I transfer a video to their iPOD without putting all my songs on their iPOD or deleting their songs?I tried and some of my songs went on there and all of hers went off. I then tried again and just the video went on. There has to be a way to make it so her songs stay and the video goes on….

ParticipantIf you hook up another person’s iPod, then yes it will delete their songs, unless you use other software other than iTunes. Also, I meant “tab” not “lab”, my bad.

MemberI don’t have one yet so my question may be answered as soon a i get it, but how do you add album art? Does it auto load it when you upload your cd’s to itunes?

MemberIve uploaded my cd’s to iTUNES and I never had cd art upload with it. What I had to do was like goto cdnow.com and save the cd covers into a folder and manually add it to each song myself.

ParticipantCorrect, when you rip a CD, the album art does not rip with it. If you select all the songs (control+clicking), you can mass change it for the whole album (right click>get info>edit info>copy picture from whereever>paste in the album section). Also, bronxy did you get your video problem solved?

Memberyeah I got the video to work, thanks!
I couldnt get that one program to work, I have Nero and found a way to use that. I wonder how much space a full movie with extras, etc would use up.
I have movies on there without the special extra’s and its less than a gig with pefect quality!December 2, 2005 at 7:55 pm #134086DrBroccoli
ParticipantAersome, glad I could help! Have fun with it!
