Netscape Browser 8.0 Beta — based on Firefox 1.0
Features:
It’s ugly in my opinion. Who wants to use a ugly browser? I notice how it integrates AIM into itself. If the browser wasn’t complete crap, that would be the one reason I would use it over any other.
Edit: seems they took out the AIM integration. Now there is absolutly no reason to use it.
I agree with Someguy. It just looks horrible. I’d much rather just use Firefox.
While it is ugly, it has an interesting feature. It has what appears to be the beginning of Gecko/IE integration which could theoretically allow for Windows Update to be run in Netscape, and other ActiveX “features”.
Previously, Netscape had a private release of their Netscape Browser on their forums. Now, they have released the public beta of the software. Links and info have been updated on the first post
The new Netscape browser is just Mozzila Firefox with a more ugly and bloated interface (literally).

It’s sad indeed, since Netscape was bought out by AOL, it pretty much showed the end of decent quality commercial products from them. Thank god they started the mozilla foundation at the same time.
