no matter what i've tried, i cannot seem to get a skin that will work with YIM 6.0, i've unzipped to file to the my computer/program files/yahoo/shared/graphics, but it will not show up will go to change my skin, does ne1 kno y? is there sumtin im missing, if ne1 can help me, plz IM me netime, or email me, ur help would be greatly appreciated, if i can return the favor plz let me kno
1. Are you sure the skin was made for version 6?
2. Make sure that after the skins is unzipped to the graphics folder that its not in a xtra folder. Depending on the way it was zipped it may have a xtra folder. If you click on the skin folder and just see another folder than thats the problem. You would have to remove the inner folder and place it directly into the graphics folder.
Just use Yahoo! Messenger Plus to easy install newest skins with :
– Y!Skin for Messenger 5.x
– Y!BitSkin for Messenger 6 (named “All New Messenger”)NB: don't need to unzip files with these tools :o)

This skin was inspired by my new site layout. It started looking alot like it but transformed into its own thing as time went by. I doubt it will be that popular but I like it 🙂

I'm surprised that few skindesigners invite to use YBitSkin (from Y!MessengerPlus) to install skin :o( It's not more easy for users ?
Did you know that YBitSkin could install skin from Zip file ? …With auto-check/udpdate/repair process, and show your author infos before install your skin (name, mail, URL, comments, etc)To create associated skin with YBitSkin… Just rename your ZIP file with .YSZ extension. And add “readme.txt” file to include your comments ;op
Roadmap of future release (YBitSkin 1.8) :
– New/Save/Export features (in ZIP and YSZ)
– Author infos editor
– XML editor
– Auto-remove dangerous filetypes into Zip or YSZ (exe,com,bat,pif,reg,etc)… To prevent virus-attack :o|
