Well, I for one am VERY excited about the new BBB. So what kind of changes can we expect…or is it a secret:rolleyes:
You should’ve received a lengthy email from me outlining the changes planned. I goofed and sent it to [email protected] instead of [email protected]. I’ll resend it when I get home tonight (sometime after 6:30 PM PST).

December 9, 2004 at 7:22 am #107874Jeff HesterKeymasterI am doing a dry-run of the data conversion as I type. This took longer than I expected because I don’t have the ability to run applications on our current Windows server. To work around this, I have created a test forum on another server. As soon as the data conversion is complete and I’ve had a chance to do some initial validation, I’ll post the URL so you can mess around with it.
Note that all of the posts in the test forum WILL BE DELETED. The plan is to shut down the “live” forum prior to New Years Eve (exact time to be determined). No new members and no new posts will be allowed while the data is migrated. Once the data migration is complete, the new forums will go live.
However, you can (and should) post in the prototype forums. Test them out rigorously and give me your honest feedback. There is time to tweak and improve, so let’s use it! Just be aware that those posts will “disappear” when we do the final data conversion.
