MemberI had always been frustrated by the fact that all simple AOL screennames were taken long ago. Now, it seems that AOL will soon allow you to be able to register your e-mail address as a screenname! I took the attached screenshots just now. As you can see from the third one, I get a “service unavailable” error when trying to do this right now, so it seems that the feature is not yet functional.

Participantwhen u are trying to access the AOL MAIL beta for public. You will have to use IE not firefox. That’s what happened to me when I used FireFox. Try IE and check if that works.

ParticipantI know, lol! Use IE to open the website is what i’m saying. Since it’s in BETA it might not work on Firefox. So use IE to open the website and sign in there etc.

Still get a server error (attached). If the pages are there, though, it must be coming soon!

Allowing people to use @domain_name adds a million new possible combinations for screenames.
PingPong is taken
PingPongBall is taken
PingPongBalls is takenSo im stuck with pingEDpongball. If I was able to use my email, I could have pingpongball@gmail.com, exactly what I wanted.
