I’m trying to access a site on the internet, but its blocking me from accessing the site because I don’t live inside the country, by looking at my IP address. Is there a way I can obtain an IP address of that country, or fool it to think that I do live there?
Thanks.
Have you tried anonymous browsing? Search Google for it and give em a try.
I tried using those anonymous browsing websites and it still didn’t work. I was able to access some parts of the website, but it wouldn’t let me login. I guess it needs to verify that I’m actually in that country.
Does it specifically state “you are not in this country” and that’s why you can’t access it?
Maybe the site is blacklisted by your ISP. I called about a site being blacklisted by Comcast once and that was a HUGE pain to get sorted out. If you ping the site, what IP address is displayed? I know it was Comcast blacklisting the site since I have access to a Time Warner connection and could access it there as well and pinged a valid IP. When I pinged with Comcast, it returned 1.1.1.1 which wasn’t correct and looked like an unauthorized block done by someone with access to the DNS doing a personal favor to themself or someone else. If a site is truly blacklisted by your ISP you would know it, unless it was unauthorized like my situation. If you want to PM me the address, I can do some hunting around–I will not share it with anybody, so it will remain confidential between us. I loved outing the person at Comcast for my issue 😀 and I’d love to out another person for abusing power if that’s your case as well.
i highly reccomend the use of tor and privoxy google it or
