good morning !!! i have a strange situation,…. someone keeps trying to add me,… but i deny them,. at least i think is the same person. i dont know any of these screen names,. and have never talked to them before. but,… even tho i deny them,… after i deny,… i seem to get booted. i know you can make a fake name,. add someone then delete that name,. …. but,… how do you find out who it is,. or can you? and what can you do about it?

I don’t know anything about booters, fake names, etc… but… I’d suggest if DENYing upsets this person(s?) then LET them add you, and add them to your list too, but THEN put them on IGNORE!
It’s tempting to just “delete” people who annoy you, but I prefer to “see” my enemies, then I can feel I’m still in control !? 😉
With YM7 you can also report such unwelcome strangers as “spam”. I’ve no evidence or idea of what Yahoo DOES about such reports, but it sure makes ME feel good to send them.
Well it sounds you are being booted using “protocol bombs”.
You might want to check this thread for possible “remedies” to these kind of activities. Its kinda long thread but worthwhile reading.
I use zaksnobuddy to remove my name from other peoples list and it works cause I get nasty remarks from them…here is my problem….I have to remove my name from a persons list EVERYDAY….so does this mean zaksnobuddy isn’t really working or is this person somehow adding me back without my knowledge/consent??? If I am being added back on the list..is there a way to prevent that????
