I’m lazy…but…you know…here

In order to actually get your blog on the ring, you need to put the code in it. Joining will put you in queue, then it checks to see if you have the code on it and then will add you to the member list. If nothing else, I’ll check it manually or tell you to put the second code in *it’s touchy like that, it wouldn’t register the first code in my blog but it registered the second alternative one, shrug*
Oh, and I also made the owner name and the PW generic so really anyone who wants to get in there can, within reason *cough* Just let me know if you need it. I imagine people’ll want to spruce it up eventually, other than my crummy little slap dash job, heheh…
i’ve noticed there’s very few people (ie, only RabidKitten) on the BBB BlogRing… why is that?? detn8r, you started this topic and you’re not even in it?? tsk. I added my site but it doesnt show up on the list for some reason.
i started a small list on my webpage of the blogs of people on here that i know somewhat… not necessarily that i know you well, but i’ve had some kind of interaction with you in my time here. if you want your blog added to my list, there’s a link for that.

edit: i noticed on the side of the blogring page it says there are 5 prospective people on a waiting list of sorts… not sure how that works…
Yes, like I said…this ring is…strange. *sigh* I’m trying to get it worked out blegh, but you need to put the code for the ring in your blog or it wont register you as a member…just as a prospect *mutter* I’ve tried checking and accepting everyone’s manually but it’s being a pill.
I’ll try again today though *nod nod* And anyway…anyone is more than welcome to go and try another ring if it works better, this checking and such is a pain and I know little to none about rings *snort*

I thought Jeff would be working on a special ring for BBB members?
i imagine jeff has other things to do that are more important than a mere blog ring. he actually has a life, i believe. (as opposed to people like me, who should be studying for finals instead of reading and posting on forums online…)
i’m looking around for a decent webring server thing, since Rabid’s not liking RingSurf too well… and i dont blame her. so if anyone wants to be the administrator instead of me, lemme know. i dont think there would be too much to do, but hey. i’ll do it if no one else wants to.
*shrug* I figured out (finally) how to just add people…so yeah… *yawn* so everyone’s added to the ring who’s applied. But please, by all means go for the gold if you feel like it, Tom.
Oh, and by the way *snickers* looking through your blog and that…college…picture..face thing (whatever blegh)…you’re 8 days younger than me. *thought it was funny*
We’d almost be better off at this point just adding up the links ourselves to our pages *snickers* oy.
well, since Sami said she didn’t particularly enjoy dealing with the blogring thingy she set up… i took the liberty of finding another ring server and set up a BigBlueBall BlogRing of my own. i realize it means you’d have to resubmit your information if you already submitted it to Sami’s ring, but i dont think that’s all that much effort.
this one doesn’t require that you have the exact code on your website. i set it so that as long as you have some of the code, you can format it however you like to fit your website’s design. same with sami’s ring, it requires administrative approval before it becomes *active* in the ring, but i’m online so much to begin with that it wont be a problem.
and yes, i’ve added most of the blogs from this thread to my own personal list.
Ok, i’ve added myself, but I don’t think I can add the code on my spaces blog… but i think i have added evryone anyway, drop me a line if you aren’t added

and just to be sure that this is working the way it’s supposed to: AwesomeSauce and Crazy Penguin – are you getting the confirmation emails that say you’ve been added but not activated, and then the one that says you’ve been activated?

Yep, it’s fine CP, I finally figured (oh my gosh I’m slow) how to add people without having to add the actual coding, so you should be added now. *thumbs up* Actually, everyone -should- be added to the ring…I don’t have anyone in the Queue anymore.
well now we have two separate rings going. which one do we want to keep? i personally don’t have any preference either way, so…. anyone else have an opinion? i dont mind updating the one i started or taking care of a different one, or if someone else wants to take over that’s fine too. i just think if we’re going to have an “official” bbb blog ring, there should just be one of them.
any preferences for either one?
