ParticipantI don’t care either way, heh, really, I only created one since nobody else was going for it…figured it might kick -someone- …-anyone- in the butt to actually make one worth its salt. Of course, that was also why I gave a generic PW and ID so even someone else could take it over if they wanted.
Really, I’m not the managerial type, so if you can get folks over there, go for it. Mine was really only intended as a temp anyway.

Participantok then… if no one else has a strong preference either way, if the people who signed up for RK’s ring want to switch over and sign up on the one i started, go ahead and do that…. as for the rest of you people out there with blogs that havent signed up yet… WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR??
Edit… I made some quick little buttons that you can put in your signature or on your blog or wherever you want to advertise the BBB BlogRing. they’re pretty simple, i whipped them up in a matter of seconds, so if anyone can do better, please do. check the blogring homepage for more details

Participantok, here’s a somewhat random question, but i want to see if anyone else is doing what i’m doing. are all of you using external blogging sites like livejournal or whatever? are any of you just doing it manually, writing your own pages and linking them accordingly? anyone?
i wasnt impressed with the bloggers i’ve seen out there, so i decided i’d do it myself, just like the rest of my websites. good ol’ notepad by my side. i’ve made quite a few extensive changes since i started keeping the blog, and i have a feeling i’m gonna need to make a few more before all is settled in, but… anyone else doing this?

Participant*shrug, stretch* I’ve been using diaryx…which lets you use your own templates and such. I just write the code in and use it that way, of course, I’m not that great at writing my own code as much as manipulating and such…but if I ever get off my butt and stop writing and designing layouts for 12 year olds on neopets…I might get around to actually making one of my own for my blog.
My notepad gets plenty of use between my lame neopets layouts and helping my mom with her site. My blog is really a low low priority for me.

Participantwell i’m pleased to announce that i’ve finally figured out a way to automate the comments portion of my blog. took a bit of time (ok, a lot of time – i have a lot of time on my hands this week) and some checking into my server’s permissions and whatnot… but it works. that’s one less thing i have to deal with now. of course, this new knowledge opens up a whole new field of possibilities for me now…
there’s still not many people signing up for this blogring… as in no new sites have been added in a while…

Memberso i’ve got this blog i update on a somewhat regular basis. i suppose it could almost be a journal, except for the fact that there is also a good deal of me rambling about nonsensical ideas that constantly richochet off of the walls of my head. there are lots of run-ons.
the main purpose, i suppose, is that i like to get feedback. i mean, i like to assume there’s a reason, so that’ll do. its not what i would call, informative. or even relatively educational, but there’s enough of that crap floating around out here. anyways.
this is it, http://blogs.cjb.net/lockedinheadanonymous comment posting is free, but so is getting a profile. not that it matters, much. i should stop typing now.

ParticipantHmm, locked, nice to see you back again. *pat pat, strip search* Welcome back *security measures* Heh…sorry, you can’t really be sure what folks bring back from their hiatus’. I wouldn’t want you trying to smuggle anything horrid back into BBB, after all. You understand…
But yes yes, I’m going to have to add your little ramblings to my list of folks *nods firmly* Well done.

MemberI have recently set up a blog… I know I have said I would never ever set-up one, but I was wrong. I think the idea of a blog is fun now… My blog is a place where I type about my day, and just about anything on my mind. I will soon be posting favorite personal artwork and personal photography on it also.
It is located here: http://spaces.msn.com/members/MrOats217/I want to join the BBB “ring” but I am a little confused how. I clicked on TigerBlade’s BBBRing ad in his signature, but, I am confused about the sign-up page. I don’t know about the Site ID, webmaster name, etc. (Basically, the bottom half of the sign up form.) If someone could please help me? The site of the blog is sourced back to spaces.msn.comJune 26, 2005 at 4:24 am #117861Tigerblade
Participantfor your site, from top to bottom:
Site Title: Full O’ Oats
Description: whatever you want to describe your site with
Site Entry URL: http://spaces.msn.com/members/MrOats217/
HTML Code URL: (leave blank)
Site ID: make up some unique ID for your site, like MrOats. mine is “tigerblade”, AwesomeSauce’s is “sauceblog”, etc…
Password: make up some password in case you need to edit your site. honestly i’m not sure what the reason is, maybe if you change where your blog is located or the title/description, you can go in and update that information.
the Name and Email of the site’s webmaster are your name and email. that should do it, i’ll just be waiting for the confirmation email then. welcome to the ring!June 26, 2005 at 4:50 am #117903MrOats
MemberThanks for everything Tom, and for the Friendly welcome. 🙂

MemberI was browsing through the ring, and the lefty’s world blog doesn’t exist. What’s the deal? Also, some people don’t have the BBB remote (crazy penguins) which makes it really frustrating to browse through the blogs.
EDIT:: I made a blogroll for the ring. It doesn’t work with the ring itself, so I have to do it manually, but here is the code to it:

MemberUhh…Captain, I think Tigerbalde’s got our blogring under control, at least last I saw he did. Thanks for trying to help, though, but I’m gonna stick with Tigerblade’s code.
Anyway, I wanted to let you all know that I’ve finally jumped into the world of blogging. My blog, Geek and a Half, is powered by WordPress 1.5.x. Tigerblade, I’ll add your Blogring code as soon as I can, but I need to familiarize myself with it first. I’ve already added most BBB members to my Blogroll, but if I forgot you, PM me a reminder.
