Ok, I was logged onto Yahoo IM and it disconnected and gave me the message that I was logged off because my account was logged in on another computer or device. Soooo I logged back into my Yahoo IM and now I have an addition to my buddy list. Now, I’m showing a Group called “Walmart” with 0/0….meaning no members in it. Plus one name is missing….my Dad.
What is UP with this??? My parents are constantly having computer crashes and viruses…….is it possible that THEIR computer has infected mine via Yahoo IM????
Any ideas??? Thanks! 🙂 Missy
Change your password, and run a full system scan for viruses, trojans, worms, keyloggers, and other malware.
It’s possible that either a trojan or keylogger is recording your keystrokes and sending them to somebody’s e-mail address.
I recommend definitely doing a complete virus scan, and then change your password (to something nobody can’t guess easily.
and change it after you do the scan as its pointless picking another pass if you’re keylogged lol as they will just get the new pass.
i posted the site below which offers some free tools to scan your pc
even a tool with a 30 day trial can be helpful 🙂
Hi…is there anything you can do to trace/find out who it is logging in? or is that not possible?
Buddy Spy was once able to do this, but due to changes in the Yahoo server, it’s not possible anymore.
Thanks for replying….I remember buddy spy
what I meant though is…is there anyway you can find out who it is logging in to your account (if you know someone is) ?
Nope, there sure isn’t.
Thanks…I thought probably not but was worth asking.
