I love doing jigsaw puzzles! And thought I’d share a good on-line jigsaw puzzle site: http://www.jigzone.com/ They have a new one each day, and lots of different ways to have them “cut” depending on how into puzzling you are. I hear this is also good for maintaining the brain.
Also, in a related adventure – my youngest son bought the DS lite and got, “for free”, Brain Age. Very cool stuff there. My brain scored two years younger than my body:o, after just a bit of training.
Great (and addictive) find….I felt great knowing I took ten minutes longer than the average….man…no wonder I did not do too many of these as a kid. Still really cool! 🙂
It gets easier the more you do. Actually, after awhile (okay, a long while) it gets predictable as they only have so many ways to cut the picture. But I find it relaxing if I’m not racing the clock. I’m glad you enjoyed it.
I do these when I am bored, and it really helps if you know what the pattern is cut like. Sometimes I go to put two together (that actually match), but they just do not want to go together. The only problem is that you have to put them almost perfectly together. I would like a bigger range for connection, but then it might be too easy.
I agree, Clint. And sometimes there is a delay in the pieces “clicking” together. But of the on-line, *free* puzzle sites, this is my favorite. It didn’t used to be so touchy, but in the last 3-4 months I’ve noticed some changes. Hopefully it’s because they’ve got lots of traffic! Jigsaws are a great way to build your brain – and burn a few minutes of down time.
Oh that was great fun, I think I could get quite addicted!
