Ok so I upgraded Opera, 8.0 to 8.01 (BIG CHANGE! ) and anway, I thought it would solve a few problems… it did like crashing at Gmail. The big one is this I could never get shockwave to install, I would always have to switch to IE. I followed the directions, even made sure it was the netscape compatible download. I still can’t get it!
Ok thanks for all the help everyone… I figured it out, I did some Googling, and apparently its been a porblem in the code they never fixed, but if you go in and add a few registry keys and la di da it works, everything Quicktime too!
sorry no one was able to post any kind of solution… sometimes that’s just how it goes. but since you did find a solution, would you mind posting the answer here for others who might have the same problem? at least some links to material you used? thanks!
I figured someone would say that… I found it on the Opera community fourms… I am finding the link now… ok, it the post at the link below, about 3/4 of the way day on the first page is a post with directions of what to do and pictures of what the registry will look like, it applies to all plugins, makes them all work 🙂
