My AIM program crashes when I talk to certain people on AIM. I’ve been noticing that it happens to people that are on AOL. I cannot figure out why this is happening. When it crashes, it says “AIM encountered a problem..”. I tried using other programs like Trillian, and this happens as well. I think it is because of the “Windows Update”. I think that I updated it and it is not compatible with AOL or something lol I’m not sure, but if anyone has a solution or know why this is happening, please help.
I recommend doing a clean install of AIM completely uninstalling every lil part of it and then do a fresh install and that should help it.. if not let me know.. [Contact information removed – Please don’t request personal contact] L8tr.
This has been going on for a while, but it just stopped tonight. I think its because the new Windows Update fixed it. For those people who emailed me recently about this problem, I replied back to you. But you should do the Windows Update, and it should fix the problem. Hope it works for you =)

5.5.3598 when someone IMs you when your away message is on and u double click to see their message your AIM freezes so do not get 5.5.3598 . Hope this helps.
Try getting Aim 5.2… You can get it at http://www.oldversion.com. That’s where I got my AIM and some programs like Ad-Aware.
