Problems IMing Yahoo with Cell Phone

So, I had someone IM me and ask about some issues they’re having with their cell phone and yahoo. They said they are having issues posting on BBB, so I’d do it for them. Here’s a C&P of the problem from her.

“i went and bought a sony ericsson z500a. when i first got it i could get text’sfrom yahoo messenger. after abotu 4 i couldn’t no more. took the phone back due to “glitch” in the phone and tried 4 other ones and still can’t get messages from yahoo messenger.
i can send em to the ip (i text only one person) lol. i have did the 151 to see if my phone is text ready. i can get them mobile to mobile, from the cingular, yahoo, all other sites and msn messy but not Yahoo.

Sooo i called sony ericsson they said it was a cingular issue, called them talked to data support for 1 hr and 45 min. and they said it is a yahoo server issue. well the guy at cingular had a clue and said that there outgoing server has blocked it. does that make sense? 🙂

i have went to one of my alternate id’s and tried to send it on yahoo and nothing. i tried signing into messy on my phone and adding a person to see if i could do it and nothing.

oh and lets not forget i emailed yahoo messenger help and umm i think i know more than them. lol and the answer i got was well sometimes you just need to restart your phone…well duh..lol

So, yeah, I didn’t understand more than half of that…so I figured that I’d go ahead and told her that I’d post it for her. If anyone has any clue what so ever, or any advice…well, it’d be appreciated!

I’m going to send her the link to the topic so she can read, but she said that she’d like to have someone just talk to her about it on her yahoo SN — h_i_d_i_n, “…and they can just text me i stay invisible alot”.

So yeah… that’s that. Any thoughts?
