I have two computers hooked up to AOL DSL via a Lynksis wireless router. Neither computer will connect to yahoo messenger, msn messenger, aim or any other messenger that I have tried unless directly hooked to the DSL modem. I understand that this a common problem, is there a way around it? If not, is there a program that will work with a webcam or audio chat that I will be able to connect to.
There’s a whole gob of (hopefully similar enough) reply threads at

After a VERY quick pass (too much wine), they describe some of the configuration issues that are required – like fixed IPs as opposed to DHCP. Let us know if you find anything.
In the event not, when I was determining connectivity to Y-Servers,
I used a port scanner (in a very benign, friendly way, mind you) to verify
each of the hops between me & them. In short – try the easy stuff, and we’ll wing it from there.
