That would be a great feature for BBB and add some customization to the community, my only concern would be what some of the more immature people would do with this feature. But i agree with Tigerblade about the limitations on it so only trustworthy members could creat groups. Spike had a great suggestion to with having members submit requests for creating a group.
Another option would be to make it were people need the Premier Membership to do it.
I know im a little late in the game but what are BBB’s current standings on this topic?
Is this a possibility anytime soon?

Well the usergroup feature is still available. At least initially we would not set it up so that people can create their own usergroups “on-the-fly.” Instead, you could request the creation of a group. I like SyntaxErrorX’s idea of giving Premier members this feature and see what they come up with.
I agree. Let’s give it a test run with the Premiere members to see what kinds of groups they’ll come up with, then possibly open it to regular members. Or… we could leave that as a Premiere Benefit, having the ability to suggest public groups?
Also, if we were to use these a lot, we’d need a bit more… ‘advertisement’ then that tiny link in your profile that nobody’s really going to notice.

That doesn’t always help, the thread moves down the list eventually and some people don’t even read it. We’d need a static link somewhere.
